Long Description Assessment Roll
The 2022 Assessment Roll consists of approximately 5.5 million properties, the same as in 2021. The number of residential properties in 2022 was the same as 2021 at 5 million. Farm properties decreased to 221,000, down from 222,000 in 2021. Commercial properties increased to 166,000, up from 164,000. Industrial properties remained the same at 80,000, as well as special/exempt properties at 49,000 and multi-residential properties at 17,000. The Assessment Roll also consists of approximately $3.1 trillion, up from $3 trillion. The total assessment value of residential properties remained the same as the 2021 value at $2.2 trillion; farms increased to $141.6 billion, up from $140.6 billion; commercial properties increased to $321.3 billion, up from $319.6 billion; industrial properties increased to $118.5 billion, up from $116.8 billion; special/exempt properties increased to $153.2 billion, up from $151.2 billion; and multi-residential properties increased to $124.6 billion, up from $122.3 billion.
